Congratulations on becoming a Numerade Educator!
The first step after your account is activated is to complete your first batch of videos. Numerade will not automatically assign you a set of questions. You will be able to choose your own questions to solve from Students or textbooks in your subject area of expertise, and you can continue selecting and working on videos at your own pace after submitting your first!
NOTE: We refresh our question queue every few hours. If there are currently no questions available, please check again in a little while. Textbooks are released in a limited capacity, based on current student needs/demand. There are not currently textbooks available in every subject. New books will be added as demand changes and once the current textbooks are fully solved they will switched out periodically.
To begin your first batch of videos follow these steps:
There are a few ways to find and locate questions on Numerade. Below are two different choices for finding questions to answer.
Option 2:
- Login to your Numerade Educator account.
- Select the either the "Textbook Questions" or "Student Questions" button on the left side of the page.
- If you clicked on "Textbook Questions"-please select a textbook and a chapter that you wish to assign to yourself.
- You can assign yourself full chapters by selecting ‘Assign all Questions’ in the top right corner. Otherwise, you can pick individual questions in each section by selecting ‘Assign’ or ‘Answer’.
-
-
- **Check your email after assigning any new textbook questions. You will be sent a link to the PDF of the textbook you chose to help you when solving questions. If you did not receive the PDF link to the textbook or if you do not have access to the link, please reach out to educatorsupport@numerade.com and we will happily send it over to you!

-
- If you clicked on "Student Questions"-Please select a subject(s) from the list on the left side of the page and select 'Assign' or ‘Answer’ under any questions you would like to create a video for.
- Select “Assign’ to quickly add questions to your personal queue to be solved later. Questions that are assigned will be moved to the ‘Assigned’ Tab located at the top of your page. Questions will stay in your queue for 4 hours. If they are not solved in 4 hours, they will be added back into the public queue for another educator to pick up.
- Select ‘Answer’ to be instantly brought to your virtual whiteboard to create a video for that specific question. Once you are in the whiteboard view, you can see your chosen question shown on the left side of the screen. You can also see any upcoming questions for you to answer if you have any assigned to you in your queue.
- Create a recording of yourself solving the given question step by step on the Numerade virtual whiteboard. You can also manually upload a video from an alternative virtual whiteboard of your choice.
- After you finish recording, click on ‘Preview’ at the bottom of the whiteboard. Ensure that your answer is correct, your handwriting is neat, that your audio commentary is clear and easy to hear.
- Once you are ready, select the purple ‘Submit Video’ button found on the top right of the screen.
- If you have questions already added to your queue, select the next question from your assigned list and repeat the process. Otherwise, head back to your dashboard to find more questions.
If you are new to Numerade, it may take a bit of time to get used to navigating our platform and creating videos. Stick with it, and you'll be on your way to helping students and earning extra money in no time!

Common Reasons Videos Don’t get Approved
We expect all videos to be valuable toward the goal of student learning. Videos with any of the following issues may not be accepted:
- If the answer or explanation are incorrect
- If the video contains copyrighted material (images, videos, etc.)
- If the question wasn't a legit question
- If legibility is unreadable
- If the audio is muffled or unclear
- If the problem is copied to the screen
- If the video is a duplicate of another video
- If the video isn't handwritten and solved step by step on a virtual whiteboard
- If videos are persistently too short without thorough explanations. Videos are required to be at least 1 minute in length.
